We are talking about the premium AIO CPU liquid-cooled server cabinet. Sit back while we explain how liquid cooling works in Asetek Cooling solutions.
Asetek liquid-cooled server cabinet is a cooling system used to transfer heat from computer processors (cpus). This is a very popular cooling option for gamers and audiophiles, as it generally provides better cooling performance than air coolers and is relatively easy to install. This is because liquids have a much larger heat capacity and carry heat away from the CPU chip more easily than air. Our all-in-one machines are standalone, single-use systems that require no cleaning and maintenance. Here's how the AIO liquid cooler works:
Water pump
This is the heart of the Arctic liquid-cooled server cabinet, which is usually located in the cooler module on top of the system CPU. The pump circulates the cooler's blood or coolant mixture from the cold plate to the radiator.
Cold plate The cold plate is made of copper and is in contact with the CPU's IHS. The better the contact, the more efficiently the cold plate can dissipate heat from the CPU chip. Heat absorption is assisted by a series of channels and small fins in the cold plate. As the liquid flows through the fins, the fins splice the liquid into tiny parts. The fin array increases the surface area of liquid contact and improves heat absorption from the liquid.
Thermal interface material
All Actec AIO coolers come with pre-applied TIM. To ensure efficient heat transfer from the CPU to the cold plate, a layer of thermal interface material (TIM) is applied between them. This paste, or compound, helps fill in tiny gaps and irregularities, thereby improving thermal conductivity.
radiator
Queued heat exchangers (hexagonal) or "heatsinks", as it is the more common name. The function of the radiator is similar to that of a car. The radiator has a series of channels through which the coolant flows. A complex series of fins can be seen on the outside of the radiator to dissipate heat from the hot water. The included fan is connected to the radiator and blows cold air through the heat sink to significantly cool the liquid. From here, the coolant flows back to the cooling plate, effectively cooling the CPU. This cycle repeats tirelessly, keeping the temperature of the CPU under control.
Dear readers, that's it. AIO liquid-cooled server cabinets work by transferring heat from the system's processor or CPU to the liquid coolant. It then pumps the liquid into a radiator, where a built-in fan releases the heat into the surrounding air. This process loops back and forth and helps keep your CPU low.
