The discography of American rock group Toto includes 13 studio albums, 4 live albums, as well as several compilations. Toto has released original music as well as collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. The band has won multiple Grammy Awards for their work.
Before the formation of Toto the group, members worked as session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs' 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in the year 1976.
The third album of Toto, Turn Back, marked a change from the more progressive sound of their earlier albums and was criticized for its absence of hit singles. In 1985 the group's singer Fergie Fredericksen resigned the group, and they held auditions to find a new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the band recorded the 1986 album Fahrenheit.
In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by going through several old demos and to-topia tapes to release a special edition called Toto XX. The album was a hit by fans, and the band embarked on a tour featuring former members Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
While touring for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun the drummer Leland Sklar departed from the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live set called Falling in Between, which included live recordings from the tour as well as an interview with the group.

During the tour Bobby Kimball, the lead singer, was arrested on drug charges. After the tour the band decided to let him go, and they hired singer/guitarist Joseph Williams to take his place. Drummer David Hungate also left the band following the tour. Leland Sklar replaced him.

The track "Africa" is a track from the album Toto IV, was written by the members of the band and was produced by David Pich. It was written by the band members and produced by David Paich. Prior to and during the time of Toto's formation, its members worked as session musicians for a broad variety of artists. Toto was created following Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and Boz Scaggs recorded Silk Degrees. Paich played keyboards on Steely Dan records, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.
In 1998, Toto started working on a project entitled Old Is New. The album featured three new tracks and several completed recordings of old songs. The album was a huge success all over the world and the band went on a world tour to promote it.

Toto, known for the hit single "Africa" The group recently reunited to promote their new album, All In. The album debuted on November 6, 2018, and included three brand new tracks from the upcoming 40 Trips Around the Sun, as well as completed recordings of four other older tracks that featured Jeff Porcaro on drums and either Mike or Steve Porcaro on bass. The album also included an original cover version of Weezer's song "Hash Pipe" that the band re-released after hearing it on the radio.
